Kathleen and I went to the seniors’ home to visit the old people. From this work I learnt that we should visit the older more and more, they felt so lonely, when we visited them, they felt very happy, because there are few people to visit them. I talked to some old people, they are in the seniors’ home felt so happy, whey can play with the same ages people, they can play table tennis, play mahjong, and play some sports, they lived together can help each other, talk to each other, take good care of other people. When one people sick, they will look after him alternate, they are very harmonious. The seniors’ home give them a place to make new friends, from the living life, they learn more about each other, and make the real friend in their life, this is very precious. Now many primary school and secondary school went to seniors’ school to visit them, they are dancing, singing, talking to them, helping them, such as sweeping the floor, collecting the clothes, feeding them, doing up their hair, pushing the wheelchair. In the summer, many university student visit them, they do volunteer work for them, they feel very happy, they can felt the university students’ energy, they are alike becoming to eighteen years old.
I not only talked to them, but also do some housework for them, for example, I swept the floor, washed the floor, folded up the quilt, fed the food. I felt so hard about this. Because some rooms were not clean, I should spend so much time to deal with the problem, I exhaust for this work. And some rooms were in a mess, many things were not neat, so I should arrange them, make the same things in one kind.
I think the job for the seniors’ home is a good job, this will be a good choice for people who want to make more money, and this job not just can make money, but also can help some old people. Now old people’s children are about thirty or forty, this age is the best time for working, and some women should take good care of their children, so there are no time for them to visit this old people, their children only can give them money for their clothes, food. But the most important thing is not money. They felt so lonely, everyday they look forward to their children visiting them. So they went to seniors’ home, they can play with other old people, this is a good thing for them.
When I grow up, if I have ability, I want to built a seniors’ home, I want to help more old people to find a warm and fragrant home.
