On December 4th we went to exhibition with Ms.Hadley and Ms.Bartell.the exhibition is Wu Weishan’s artwork. The work is all about sculpture. All the artwork is only made by Wu Welshan.
And the artwork is traditional, his artwork about many famous people, this artwork record china’s history.
I find an artwork that I like best. This is A Bing. He was an artist, his life was so hard. So Wu Weishan’s artwork show A Bing’s was so tough. His face was creasy, and his expression was so bitter. Around A Bing’s artwork, I find an introduction about A Bing’s art work. It was made in 2007 and made by Wu Weishan, and the color is dark yellow, the material is cast copper.
I think this artwork is so sad, although this artwork is so simple and it uses the coarse line, we can’t see the artwork so clearly, but the first time you see the artwork, you can find the person looks so melancholic. The person played two-stringed Chinese fiddle and make me feel so sad.
It reminds me of another artist, although he is blind, he likes drawing, he persists his artwork, all his artwork he spend a lot of time, he is at pains. Many people like his artwork, because he pay attention many details we don’t see before, his artworks show to us a new feeling.
Wu Weishan’s artwork wants to remind us to remember the Chinese tradition, because many artwork of him is about famous people, such as Ma Sanli, he was an actor, he performed a comic dialogue. Qi Baishi, he was a calligrapher, Lu Xun, he was an author, he wrote a lot of famous artist, and his artwork record his epoch, he is a great person. Yue Fei, he was a hero, he help Taiwan to recur China.
I like this artwork. Because this artwork is ancient times’ and today’s famous people. It makes me remember the history of this people. For example, we I saw the famous people, I thought some history about them, and think some spirit of them, I can learn from them. If I didn’t know some famous people, I would search some information about them, I can know more about them, and learn morn about our country’s history. I think this artwork is exciting, because I like seeing the artwork from the hardest artist. From the artwork, I can see some effort from this artworks, although the lines is coarse, the artist try his best to show us the people’s characteristics, I think this artwork is so vivid, when I saw it at the first time, I can spot it quickly.
